Master Wirtschaftswissenschaften – Business A: Accounting & Finance, Modul: Unternehmensrechnung und Controlling V (Forschungsseminar zum Controlling)

Content of the Seminar:

In this seminar, students will a) analyse complex issues of internal accounting and the steering and budgeting and other questions of the management of public organisations, and b) gain methodological skills for scientific research and writing (Bachelor: literature research, citation, style, presentation skills; Master: academic writing, independent research).

Time and Place:

Preliminary meeting and distribution of topics: Tue, 28.02.2017, 10.00-11.30 (M 125)
Deadline paper proposal: Mon, 24.04.2017, 12.00 (via e-mail to supervisors)
Deadline seminar paper: Mon, 12.06.2017, 12.00 (print version at secretariat of UC and via e-mail to supervisors)
Presentations: Wed, 05.07.2017 (M 125)

Credit points:

Credit points can be awarded for

Master Wirtschaftswissenschaften – Business A, Module Unternehmensrechnung und Controlling V (Forschungsseminar zum Controlling) and

Bachelor Wirtschaftswissenschaften – Modul 11 (Betriebswirtschaftliches Seminar).

Credit points for the module Unternehmensrechnung und Controlling V can only be awarded if no other research seminar on Controlling has been completed before.

Examination:

Seminar paper (Independent work; Bachelor: max. 12 pages, Master: max. 15 pages).
Presentation and discussion of seminar paper (individual or in pairs).
The number of participants is limited to 20 students.
