The Academic Profession in the Knowledge-Based Society (APIKS) – Country Study Lithuania

Description

The "Academic Profession in the Knowledge-Based Society (APIKS)" project aims at an international comparison of working conditions for academics at universities across the world. The APKIS project is the third of its kind – two similar studies have already been conducted in 1992 and 2007 (The Changing Academic Profession = CAP). The 2017 survey will be carried out by research teams from more than 20 countries across the world, including Australia, Brazil, China, the United Kingdom, Japan, Mexico, Russia, South Korea, and the USA.

The country study Lithuania will focus on two main questions:

  1. Which transformations of the academic profession can be observed in Lithuania?
  2. (To what extent) is the academic profession in Lithuania embedded into the knowledge-society and -economy?
