Responsibilities

Mehwish Waheed started working as a guest researcher at the Professorship of Higher Education in July, 2017. She holds a two-year fellowship of the Georg Forster Research Fellowship of the Humboldt-Foundation. During her stay, she will conduct the research project "LeDLe – Learning from Digital Learning Environment: European Students' Perspective".


Curriculum Vitae

Mehwish Waheed graduated with a PhD in Information Science from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) in 2015. She holds a Master of Science in Technology Management from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan and a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan. Before joining the Center of Higher Education at TU Dortmund, she worked as eLearning Administrator and E-tutor of Commonwealth MBA/MPA Program in Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad, Pakistan from 2009 - 2012. She was also serving as a visiting Lecturer at the International Islamic University. Later, she served as a Research Assistant at the Asia-Europe Institute, University of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur from 2015 - 2016.

Her research interests focus on

  • Investigating the quality of digital learning, particularly quality of knowledge
  • Adoption of innovative products and individual innovative behavior
  • Academic social media and digital media learning

Research Stay

Research stay of one month (16th April – 15th May 2018) at the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Learning (BSL), Linköping University, Sweden, sponsored by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. During the stay, presented in a seminar about the ongoing project on 'Learning from Digital Learning Environment: European Students' Perspective (LeDLe)' and also learned about the structure and delivery method of digital learning platform implemented in the Division of Pedagogy and Adult Learning, BSL.
