Courses in the Ancient Languages

These intensive Latin, Ancient Greek and Hebrew courses are mostly for students of TU Dortmund University who have to complete the LATINUM, the GRAECUM or the HEBRAICUM as part of their studies. You can find an overview of courses on our course platform.

Complementary Examinations: Ancient Languages

Please note that all complementary examinations in the Ancient Languages must be taken through the Regional Government in Arnsberg (http://www.bezreg-arnsberg.nrw.de).

1. Examination procedure

The relevant courses at TU Dortmund University are aimed at the state examinations in Latin – Ancient Greek - Hebrew. These are carried out under the heading of “State Examinations to Complement the ‘Abitur’ Certificate” by the regional government in Arnsberg. The regional government in Arnsberg is also ultimately responsible for the examination procedures, including registration, planning of dates, retakes, etc. The legal basis for this is the “Regulations on state examinations to complement the German ‘Abitur’”. Particular details can be found in the official “Leaflet about the state examination to complement the German ‘Abitur’ in Ancient Greek - Latin - Hebrew” (see attachment).

2. Examination contents
